The ''Serenade for Strings'' in G minor is a composition for strings by Vasily Kalinnikov. He wrote the serenade in 1891. The composition was first published by Muzgiz in 1950.〔Spencer (n.d.)〕
==Structure and instrumentation==

The composition, which is scored for a string orchestra composed of violins, violas, cellos and double basses, consists of a single movement marked ''Andantino''.
Average performance time is between eight to ten minutes.
